Rude Awakening

Spring brings many things to the American Midwest.

More daylight. Bright green grass. Trees with fresh leaves. Brilliant flowers.

Allergens. Wild temperature swings. Storms.

We had one of the those in the early morning hours a few days ago. My neighborhood did not suffer enough to have the media come running in their satellite equipped vans. No, this problem was localized.

I see three things in this homeowners near future.

Insurance adjuster. Tree service. Roofer.

  1. Sorry to hear about your neighbors tree. We have had a few bad storms recently and a lot of people lost power and even their houses. Hope you don’t see any more bad weather coming your way. Best of luck with everything 🙂

  2. Eau Claire WI, near Ellen’s home town, has had some quick storms. Last Tuesday we had 1 1/2 inches of rain in an hour. I drove in it, stopping often because I could not see.
Friday, south of town, my sister’s house southern window screens now have holes in them from an intense hail storm. Sunday, when I returned from a weekend in southern Wisconsin, I was told Eau Claire only had a sprinkle.
